Coach Louie McCroskey was born in Harlem and played his high school ball at St. Raymond’s, where he became one of the most coveted prospects in the country while leading the Ravens to the 2001 New York state title. The 6-foot-5 guard played his first three years of college at Syracuse and was a key reserve on the Orange’s 2006 Big East championship team. Louie then transferred to Marist for his final season, where he shot 45 percent from 3-point range. After a brief professional career, he became a coach at Benjamin Banneker High School in Brooklyn in 2012. He has worked with BSNY since 2015.
