Professional Basketball Player / Mentor
We are extremely excited for Abby O’Connor to bring her passion for women’s basketball and extensive experience to our team. A standout at Gonzaga University and Loyola Chicago, Abby also played professionally overseas, gaining a wealth of knowledge about the game and what it takes to succeed at the highest levels.
Abby’s basketball journey began at Saint Joseph High School in Indiana, where she helped lead her team to an IHSAA 3A State Championship and earned Honorable Mention All-State honors. Off the court, she was a National Honor Society member, excelling both academically and athletically.
During her senior season (2021-22) with the Gonzaga Bulldogs, Abby started all 33 games, scoring a career-high 21 points against Utah on an incredible 81% shooting. She played a total of 864 minutes that season, improving across nearly every statistical category. Abby’s standout performance in the WCC Championship saw her grab a season-high 10 rebounds, helping Gonzaga secure a victory over BYU. As a coach and mentor, Abby is dedicated to helping young athletes build their skills and confidence. She is passionate about inspiring the next generation of players through hard work, discipline, and the love of the game.
